2 Killed in Crash on Route 70 in South Jersey: Reports
The accident took place Monday afternoon.

Two people are dead following an accident on Route 70 in Pemberton Township at about 2 p.m. Monday afternoon, according to published reports.
Route 70 was closed briefly following the accident at the intersection of Pasadena Road, but has since reopened, according to NBC 10. The victims have not been identified.

One person was initially trapped in the single-car accident before being airlifted to Capital Health Regional Medical Center's trauma center in Trenton, according to the Burlington County Times. The other person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials told CBS 3 that the car hit a tree, and the impact was enough to rip the car in half.
