6 More Cases Of New Coronavirus Reported In Burlington County

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — Six new positive cases of new coronavirus were reported for Burlington County on Wednesday, bringing the total number of positive cases in the county to 11.

The Burlington County Health Department provided the following information on six new cases on Wednesday:

  • A 53-year-old Burlington Township man;
  • A 35-year-old Delanco woman;
  • A 20-year-old Evesham man;
  • A 29-year-old Florence woman;
  • A 61-year-old Evesham woman; and
  • An 80-year-old Mount Laurel man.

Contact tracing is underway in all these cases, officials said Wednesday afternoon. On Wednesday afternoon, the total number of cases in the state had skyrocketed to 427, including five deaths.

State Health Commissioner Judith Persichelli reported there were five new Burlington County cases, but no further information was immediately available. Twenty-seven of the new cases have not yet been assigned a county. Read more here: NJ Coronavirus: Cases Soar By 162, Death Toll Rises To 5

Other cases were reported in Moorestown, Eastampton, Chesterfield and two in Riverton.

The New Jersey Department of Health has partnered with the New Jersey Poison Information and Education System to open and operate a call center (1-800-222-1222) for public use regarding questions, concerns, and other information related to coronavirus spread in New Jersey.
