5 Hurt After Train Hits Truck In Burlington Co.: NJ Transit

The NJ Transit River Line is still facing delays from the incident as of late Friday morning.

BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — Five people were injured when an NJ Transit light rail train hit a truck Friday morning in Burlington County, officials said.

The crash happened at about 6:10 a.m. near Dulty's Lane Crossing in Burlington Township. The River Line train operator and four passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries, an NJ Transit spokesperson told Patch.

River Line service was suspended between Burlington Town Center and Florence station but has since resumed with residual delays as of this writing.

The circumstances leading to the crash weren't immediately available.

Thirty-six customers were on the train.
