6-Vehicle Crash Clogs Jersey Turnpike In Burlington Co.
Several trucks and a bus collided, causing miles-long backups on the highway earlier Tuesday.
BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ — Several trucks and a bus crashed Tuesday morning on the Jersey Turnpike in Burlington County.
Six vehicles collided at 11:26 a.m. on the New Jersey Turnpike North outer roadway in Bordentown Township, said Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a State Police spokesperson.
About 20 people were taken to local hospitals, reports CBS News Philadelphia.

Lebron did not disclose how many people were hurt but said nobody's injuries were life-threatening.
The crash involved two tractor-trailers, a transit bus, a flatbed truck, a box truck and a transit van, Lebron said.

CBS Philadelphia's chopper showed a FlixBus pulled over on the shoulder, with several people carrying luggage alongside the turnpike. A smaller bus picked them up.
The circumstances leading up to the crash were not available.
There were 3.5-mile backups in the area in the hours after the collision. But officials are no longer reporting delays as of this writing.
