BUSINESSES: PLEASE DONATE A CRATE!!!! EMERGENCY ANIMAL SHELTER IN PALMYRA NEEDS NEW BLACK CRATES!!!

Hello, Patch Pet Lovers!
WANT A WONDERFUL WAY TO HONOR OR REMEMBER A BELOVED PET, FAMILY MEMBER WHO ADORED ANIMALS, VET, GROOMER, PET SITTER, OR ANIMAL RESCUE?
DONATE A CRATE FOR THE HOLIDAY AND HONOR THAT HARD-TO-BUY-FOR ANIMAL LOVER WHO HAS EVERYTHING!!!
I'm reaching out to all businesses in hopes you will take advantage of the opportunity to assist in the wonderful initiative of implementing an emergency animal shelter right here at home in Palmyra, to be used in the event of an emergency or disaster. The shelter will be mobile for purposes of relocation, if necessary.
With the generous donation of a large trailer from Sea Box in Cinnaminson, Tracy Kilmer has worked so diligently in securing the supplies needed to create a climate-controlled, safe shelter with running water in Palmyra, and consideration for helping with donating a crate is immensely appreciated!!!
Please see Crate Donation Request Letter below from Elaine Sullivan, Director of Burlington CART, the County Animal Response Team, of which I am proudly a member. : )
I'll be happy to pick up the crate and deliver it to Tracy. Please call me @ (856) 906-7111 once it's in your possession.
Contact info for Tracy, Elaine, and Wayne are included in the letter, but do not hesitate to reach out to me if necessary!
Dear Community Partner
The Burlington County Animal Response Team (CART), in partnership with the Borough of Palmyra's Office of Emergency Management (OEM), is seeking donations of pet crates for a new emergency pet shelter.
The CART is a volunteer group that operates under the direction of the Burlington County OEM. In addition to promoting animal disaster preparedness, we respond to animal-related emergencies when first responders are overwhelmed.
During Tropical Storm Irene, and during Superstorm Sandy, the Palmyra Community Center served as a regional temporary shelter for area residents. The CART assisted with the temporary housing of their pets. The Sea Box company of Cinnaminson has generously donated a new trailer, which will be tailored specifically for animal emergency sheltering going forward, to better accommodate those pets. This turn-key pet trailer will not only serve Palmyra residents, but their neighbors as well. In fact, the trailer can be moved to other locations throughout the county, should the need arise.
We are currently seeking donors who might be willing to donate a crate or two to help with this project. A built-in cage support system is being constructed, and we are looking for new, black crates of the approximate dimensions listed below:
X Large (qty: 2): 48 x 30 x 33
Large (qty: 2): 42 x 28 x 30
Intermediate (qty: 8): 36 x 23 x 25
Medium (qty: 6): 30 x 19 x 21
Small (qty: 14): 24 x 18 x 19
X Small (qty: 5): 22 x 13 x 16
If you'd like to assist us with this effort, please contact me at 609.702.7211 ( Lainey7211@aol.com );
Tracy Kilmer, Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator/Palmyra at 856.303.0131
( tkilmer@boroughofpalmyra.com ); or Wayne Comegno, Deputy OEM Coordinator of Burlington County at 609.518.7200 ( wcomegno@co.burlington.nj.us ).
We can provide any additional information you might need, and an updated list of crate needs as the project moves forward.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of this important initiative.
