MEDFORD, NJ — An 11-year-old boy was hit by a car on Friday morning while riding an electronic bike (E-Bike), the Medford Township Police Department said.
At around 7:30 a.m., officers and Medford EMS responded to the area of Haines School for a report of a crash involving a pedestrian on an E-Bike.
The boy was given medical treatment on scene for minor injuries and then taken to the hospital as a precaution, authorities said.
Early evidence showed that he was driving north along Stokes Road in the bicycle lane against traffic.
The boy then tried to enter the "exit-only" area of Haines School and hit the front bumper of a car being driven by a 43-year-old man from Medford.
The crash is still under review.
