
Elizabeth Berbette, BA, CMC, of Medford, has accepted the position of geriatric care manager with SeniorWise Care Management, announced SeniorWise Director Nancy Carman. The program is a member of the Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice family of services and helps older adults remain independent and safe in their own homes for as long as possible.
As a geriatric care manager, Berbette will provide expert guidance, caring advocacy and timely connections with cost-effective services for older adults and their families planning their current and future needs. Berbette’s role will also include keeping adult children and other loved ones informed and involved, whether they live nearby or far away.
SeniorWise Care Management’s services include conducting comprehensive in-home assessments and arranging and monitoring services on behalf of older adults. SeniorWise is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.

Berbette has a long history of working with clients and their families. She spent most of her career in Boulder, Colo. as a case worker for the Department of Social Services and then as a care manager for Dignity Care, a home health agency supplying skilled and non-medical care to the elderly.
