Drugs Laced With Animal Tranquilizer Kills Burlington Co. Man, 2 Charged: Police

The accused drug dealers and the victim are all from Wrightstown, the prosecutor said.

MOUNT HOLLY, NJ — Two Wrightstown "drug dealers" sold another Wrightstown man fentanyl that was laced with an animal tranquilizer, causing the third man's death in September 2021, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said.

Ozell Sutton, 39, and of Rajik Morphis, 39, were both charged with first-degree strict liability for drug-induced death, third-degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance and third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the death of 35-year-old Nicholas DiCola.

Sutton and Morphis were sent to Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly to await their detention hearings in Superior Court.
