Armed Robber Assaults Employee, Locks Them In Closet At Burlington Co. Store: Police
The unidentified remains at large after assaulting and injuring the retail worker, authorities said.

EVESHAM, NJ — An unknown suspect assaulted a retail employee and locked them in a closet during a robbery Wednesday in Evesham, officials said.
Officers responded at 6:30 p.m. to the reported armed robbery at Mattress Warehouse of Marlton (46 Route 70 W, Evesham). An employee reported that the suspect entered the store and demanded money, police said.
The unknown male carried a black weapon — believed to be a knife — and wore all black, including a face covering, authorities said. The individual assaulted the worker and locked them in a closet before fleeing the store, according to police.

The victim freed themselves from the closet and immediately called police. They were taken to Virtua Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to law enforcement.
