CINNAMINSON, NJ — Two baseball fields at Memorial Park have been dedicated in honor of a pair of fallen heroes from Cinnaminson.
The fields were dedicated in honor of New Jersey State Trooper Sean Cullen and Cinnaminson Firefighter Lt. Chris Hunter, according to a Facebook post by Deputy Mayor Don Brauckmann. Field #4 honors Hunter, Field #6 honors Cullen, according to the post.
Cullen was killed in an accident on 295 in West Deptford in 2016. He was struck by a passing driver while responding to the scene of an accident and active fire. Last year's Camden County College Police Academy graduation ceremony was dedicated to Cullen, who has also been recognized by other law enforcement agencies statewide.

Hunter passed away suddenly on Nov. 15, 2014 after working his shift with the Cinnaminson Fire Department and responding to emergency incidents. The Hunter's Heroes Foundation was founded in his honor, and has donated rare training books to local libraries for use by firefighters and presented scholarships to a Cinnaminson High School graduate each June.
Hunter's wife, Claire Hunter, was one of four members of the community recognized as Outstanding Citizens during this year's reorganization meeting. Hunter, Christine Turner, Helen Strobel and Joe Malone were the first four citizens recognized under the township's new Recognition of Outstanding Cinnaminson Citizens (ROCC) honor. At the time, officials said they would do more to recognize everyday citizens and fallen heroes.
