Philadelphia Man Charged in Connection With Dead Body Found in Burlington County
Jesus Garcia was found in possession of a vehicle in which a dead woman found on Sunday morning.

A Philadelphia man has been charged with concealing the body of a deceased adult female who was discovered on Sunday in the trunk of a vehicle at a Maple Shade hotel, Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Maple Shade Police Chief Gary Gubbei announced Monday afternoon.
Jesus Garcia, 41, of the 100 block of East Wellens Avenue in Philadelphia, was charged with second-degree concealment of human remains. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail on $150,000 bail. His first appearance is scheduled for Tuesday.
Maple Shade Police reported to the Quality Inn hotel in the 500 block of Route 38 west on Sunday night as part of a missing persons investigation initiated by the Philadelphia Police Department.

At that time, they found Garcia in possession of the car in which a deceased woman’s body was found.
The body has not yet been identified, but Burlington County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood was conducting an autopsy on Monday.

The investigation is being conducted by detectives from the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, Maple Shade Police Department, Philadelphia Police Department and the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
