The third annual Bolt for Becky 5K race in memory of Rowan College at Burlington County alum, firefighter, EMT and paramedic Rebecca "Becky" Scott is set for next weekend. The race, sponsored by the college and the Scott family, is set for Sunday, April 28, at the college's Mount Laurel Campus.

Scott was diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer at the age of 27. Her last day of work was 12 days before her passing on Oct. 27, 2015, according to the college.

All proceeds from Bolt for Becky will benefit The Rebecca Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund for students enrolled in the Virtua Paramedic Science program at Rowan College at Burlington County.
