Brush Fire Spreads Smoke Around Burlington Co.
People with respiratory issues should minimize exposure, officials said.
BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — A brush fire in Willingboro is spreading smoke into surrounding towns Monday morning, officials said.
Crews were working on a brush fire in the township's Mill Creek Park area as of 8:30 a.m. Monday.
The smoke has traveled to Delran, according to the township's fire department.

"With the cooler weather and minimal wind the smoke is laying low and coming through our area," said the Delran Fire Department. "Please take necessary means to minimize exposure if you have respiratory problems."

As a drought persists, dry conditions across New Jersey have made fires spread quickly in recent weeks. The state's Stage 3 fire restrictions continued Monday, prohibiting charcoal fires and only allowing fires in elevated stoves that use only propane, gas, natural gas or electricity.
