RIVERSIDE, NJ — A Riverside man was busted last week for possessing child pornography, officials said.

Brandon Troughton was charged with third-degree child endangerment for knowingly possessing images depicting sexual exploitation of a child. He was arrested July 2 at his home.

The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office (BCPO) a tip about Troughton's alleged online activities. The BCPO's High-Tech Crimes Unit later found that Troughton accessed child pornography and saved it onto a personal electronic device.

Troughton, 30, was placed in the Burlington County Jail. He was released after an initial court appearance, but the case will be presented to a grand jury for possible indictment, the BCPO said.
