Burlington County Back At Moderate Risk Of COVID-19 Transmission
One week after being classified as high risk of COVID-19 transmission, Burlington County is once again considered to be at moderate risk.
BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — One week after being classified as being at high risk of coronavirus transmission, Burlington County is once again considered being at moderate risk, according to the state's latest COVID-19 activity report, which is issued weekly.
The most recent report, released Thursday, says Burlington County is in the "yellow zone," meaning the county has a rate of 1 to 10 cases per 100,000 people.
Last week, it was in the “orange zone,” meaning it had a rate of 10 to 25 cases per 100,000 people.
Schools in counties with high transmission rates would have to take more serious steps — such as quarantining or even shutting down schools — if a child shows the symptoms of COVID-19.
