Burlington County College Radio Station to Broadcast High School Football This Season

Cinnaminson's game against Bordentown on Sept. 26 is among the games set for broadcast.

The Burlington County College radio station will cover high school football this season, and Cinnaminson’s game against Bordentown will be among the games broadcast live.

Radio station WBZC-FM (Z88.9) is teaming with the Burlington County Sports Network this fall to provide comprehensive coverage throughout the high school football season online and over the air.

“Burlington County College has a history of supporting local high school communities and this partnership will enhance that tradition,” BCC Interim President Dr. David Spang said. “High school football can unify communities and we are proud to be able to expand access to the best football action in Burlington County.”

Cinnaminson hosts Bordentown on Friday night, Sept. 26, 7 p.m. That game will be broadcast live on the station.
“As the leading source for high school sports in South Jersey, BurlCo SportsNet is excited about the opportunity to team up with an established radio presence like Z88.9,” said JL Media President and CEO Jay Liberti. “This partnership will help us build upon the tremendous success we experienced last year as an internet-only network, provide real-life conditions for BCC students to learn sports broadcasting and, most importantly, provide greater access for people in Burlington County to follow the best high school football action.”

Games will be broadcast at www.burlcosportsnet.com and on 88.9 FM.

“Our team has extensive professional experience and we are thrilled to join with Burlco SportsNet in providing the best coverage of high school sports in the area,” Z88.9 Operation Manager Jay Varga said. “This is an opportunity for Burlington County College students to learn sports broadcasting under game conditions and for communities to follow the top high school games wherever they go.”
