Burlington County Company Fined For Construction Site Hazards
The Mount Laurel company faces $181,000 in fines for hazards at a Pennsylvania worksite.
A Burlington County based construction company that has frequently violated federal safety regulations faces heavy fines after exposing workers to safety hazards at a Pennsylvania worksite.
The U.S. Department of Labor has assessed Brutus Construction, based in Mount Laurel with $181,699 in penalties.
An OSHA inspector said workers did not have any fall protection at the residential construction site in Souderton, Pa., and that they were also not provided with fall protection training.

"Companies that fail to meet basic fall protection requirements place employees' lives at risk," OSHA Allentown Area Director Jean Kulp said, calling the company's dangerous actions "willful."
Brutus has been cited a total of 19 times in the past and been fined nearly $440,000 in total.
