Burlington County To Honor Domestic Violence Victims

Silhouette figures representing residents who lost their lives to domestic violence will be on display during the Burlington County Silent Witness Project event on Friday, officials announced.

The purpose of the event is to honor those who have been lost and to encourage anyone in an abusive or dangerous relationship or situation to seek help, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.

It will take place on Friday, Oct. 4, 2 p.m. at Rowan College at Burlington County, 1 High Street in Mount Holly.

Social service organizations will be on hand to offer domestic violence prevention services. Law enforcement agencies, family members of domestic violence victims, and surviving victims of domestic violence will also be in attendance.

The event is sponsored by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, Burlington County Sheriff’s Department, Providence House Domestic Violence Services of Catholic Charities, Rowan College at Burlington County, Soroptimist International of Rancocas Valley and Servicios Latinos de Burlington County.
