The program will run for six consecutive Tuesdays this spring.
Burlington County Sheriff Jean Stanfield will host a senior citizens police academy for six weeks this spring, county officials announced. The program will run on six consecutive Tuesdays from April 9 through May 14. A graduation ceremony will be held on the last day of the academy.
“Our department is proud to once again offer this free program to Burlington County seniors and provide them with the opportunity to gain a wealth of information and knowledge,” Stanfield said. “Participants will interact with county law enforcement and public safety staff who will teach them how they can better protect themselves from violence, accidents and consumer fraud. All participants will also be provided with a Senior I.D.”
