Burlington County Man Denied Gun Permits Due to Wife's Record

A man was denied an ID and four gun permits because his wife is a convicted felon.

A Burlington County man has been denied an application for a purchaser’s ID card and four gun permits to replace his “antiquated guns” because his wife is a convicted felon who has been accused of domestic violence, the Courier Post reports.

The unidentified man was applying for the permits so he and his teenage son could continue to shoot recreationally, according to the report.

However, the decision made by a two-judge panel, ruled that allowing the guns in the home would provide his wife with greater access to firearms, and that the man’s second amendment right to bear arms is subject to “reasonable limitations,” according to the report.
