Chain-Reaction Crash Kills Man On I-295 In Burlington Co.: Police
The man's vehicle ran off the roadway, hit several objects including another car, and overturned, authorities said.
WESTAMPTON, NJ — A Burlington County man died when his vehicle ran off Interstate 295, hit several objects including another car, and overturned, police said.
Troopers responded to the crash at 12:35 p.m. Friday on I-295 south in Westampton. It began when Nicholas Schroeder, 26, of Maple Shade, was traveling down the highway in Westampton, according to State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan.
Schroeder's Land Rover ran off the road to the left, struck a metal guard rail, re-entered the roadway and hit a GMC SUV that was also moving southbound, Marchan said. The Land Rover then ran off the roadway to the right, struck several trees and overturned, according to the preliminary investigation.

Schroeder sustained deadly injuries, while the GMC driver was unhurt, Marchan said.
The crash remains under investigation, with no additional information available, Marchan said.
