South Jersey Man Offered Underage Girls $1,000 For Sex: Prosecutor

Jonathan Tyler is also accused of asking the girls for nude photos during online conversations.

A Burlington County man stands accused of possession of child pornography and for engaging in sexual conversations online with underage girls, Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Lumberton Police Chief Anthony DiLoreto said on Thursday.

Jonathan C. Tyler, 25, of Lumberton, is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of children and one count of attempting to endanger the welfare of children.

Tyler is accused of asking underage girls for nude photos and offering to pay them $1,000 for sex during online conversations between June and August of this year.

An investigation was initiated on a tip from the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children, police said.

During a Communication Data Warrant search of Tyler’s phone, police say they found images of nude pre-pubescent girls.

Tyler was arrested on Wednesday, and his bail was set at $50,000 with no 10 percent option. The case will now be referred to a grand jury to be considered for indictment.
