Burlington County Roads Flood From Heavy Thunderstorms
Much of the region received between 1 and 2 inches of rain.
BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — The skies calmed down mid-afternoon Friday after a series of powerful thunderstorms pushed through South Jersey. But many roadways throughout the region remained flooded.
The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for Burlington County and surrounding areas in effect through 3:45 p.m. Friday.
The flood advisory also extends to Camden, Gloucester, Mercer and Salem Counties — plus southeast Pennsylvania and northern Delaware. "Minor flooding" primarily impacted low-lying and poor-drainage areas, inundating roadways throughout, the National Weather Service said.

- Route 30: flooding in both directions by Route 723/Fleming Pike in Winslow Township.
- Route 73: a crash took down a traffic signal on the northbound side, by Roue 674/Greentree Road in Evesham Township. Officials closed one left lane.
Expect 5-10 minute delays in both areas, and drive with caution, officials advised.
The flooding adds another wrinkle to road travels in Greater Philadelphia — already significantly impacted by Sunday's collapse of a portion of Interstate 95 in the city. The collapse has brought additional traffic to nearby New Jersey roadways, including the New Jersey Turnpike, Interstate 295 and Route 130.
Minor coastal flooding remains possible through Friday in northwestern Burlington County, officials said.
