South Jersey High School Makes Newsweek's National Rankings

Haddonfield Memorial High School keeps racking up the accolades.

After finishing second on New Jersey Monthly Magazine’s ranking of the state’s public schools, Haddonfield Memorial landed on Newsweek magazine’s national high school rankings.

Haddonfield came in at No. 238 in the nation on the magazine’s ranking of the top 700 public, private, charter and magnet schools.

Earlier this year, Haddonfield was ranked No. 15 in the U.S. News and World Report’s ranking of national high schools.

Haddonfield boasts a 95 percent graduation rate, 98 percent college-bound rate and a free/reduced lunch rate of 2.30 percent.

The average SAT score among Haddonfield students is 1767, and the average ACT score is 25.8.

About 32.10 percent of the school’s students are enrolled in Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programs, with a passing rate of 86.50 percent.

Newsweek used six indicators for its ranking methodology, its Daily Beast website said, including graduation and college acceptance rates; college-level courses and exams; percentage of students with free or reduced lunch; and SAT and ACT scores.
