Camden County Man Admits To Child Porn Possession In Medford: PO
He was arrested during a traffic stop earlier this year.

A Camden County man has admitted to possession of child pornography, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina announced. Alex T. DeFrancisco, 23 of Atco, pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. He faces eight years in state prison under the plea agreement, and is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 18.
He has been in jail since March 29, when he was arrested without incident during a traffic stop in Medford in which he was found to be in possession of three knives, according to authorities. He initially faced weapon charges as a result of the possession of knives, but those charges were dropped during the plea deal.
On the same day he was arrested, multiple electronic devices were taken from his home and the home of a relative in Medford following the execution of two search warrants, according to authorities.

The search warrants and the traffic stop concluded an investigation that began earlier this year when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children contacted the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office's High-Tech Crimes Unit about DeFrancisco's online activities. They said he had uploaded 2,500 images of child pornography using an online photo sharing application, according to authorities.
The investigation was conducted by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office High-Tech Crimes Unit with assistance from the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, the Lower Camden County Special Response Team, the Medford Township Police Department, the New Jersey State Parole Board, the New Jersey State Police, United States Homeland Security Investigations – Cherry Hill Office, and the Waterford Township Police Department.
