Cherry Hill Carjacking Suspect Arrested By Alert Cop: Police
A Burlington County man is accused of stealing the car in Cherry Hill Friday evening. He was captured in Berlin.

A Burlington County man was arrested in Berlin after police say he carjacked a vehicle in Cherry Hill over the weekend.
James Keck, of Rancocas, is accused of carjacking a vehicle in Cherry Hill Friday night, according to the Berlin Police Department. He was captured after a Berlin police officer said he spotted a suspicious car pulling into the New Jersey PATCO speedline parking lot at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
When the officer began to approach the car, the driver quickly left drove the car back onto Route 73, police said. The officer was able to confirm that the car had been stolen earlier in the evening. The victim wasn’t injured in the carjacking.

Police were able to locate the car on Route 73 South. When it left Route 73 to get on Route 30, police pulled the car over and Keck was arrested without incident.
Police said they found over one ounce of synthetic marijuana during a subsequent search of the car. Keck was charged with receiving stolen property, possession of synthetic marijuana and multiple motor vehicle summons. He was released to the Cherry Hill Police Department to be processed.
