Cherry Hill Man Has Plans for 100-Year-Old Burlington City Waterworks

Jason Bloomquist wants to turn the abandoned building into a community center, among other things, according to the Courier Post.

A Cherry Hill man intends to rebuild the abandoned Burlington City Waterworks, a building along the Delaware River that is over 100 years old, the Courier Post reports.

Jason Bloomquist, who has served in the military, as a government contractor and as an employee of the federal government, intends to turn the site into a museum, community center, and part-time banquet hall, according to the report.

Bloomquist, 35, was raised in Browns Mills and now lives in Cherry Hill.

Bloomquist has started a kickstarter campaign that details his step-by-step plans. As of Sunday, there were 57 days left in the campaign and over $4,000 of the $264,698 goal was raised.
