Chickie's And Pete's Moving Into Champps Building In South Jersey
It is targeted to open in the fall, according to the Courier Post.

One well-known sports bar is being replaced by another in Burlington County.
Chickie’s and Pete’s is coming to the building formerly occupied by Champps on Route 73 in Evesham Township, the Courier Post reports.
The opening is likely to take place in September or October, after the 10,000 square foot building undergoes renovations, which will cost between $2 million and $3 million.

Chickie’s and Pete’s was opened by the Ciarocci family in 1987, according to the sport’s bar’s website. It moved into The Vet in 1998, and has expanded to include 12 locations, including Bordentown, Glassboro, Audubon, Egg Harbor and the Tropicana Casino.
It’s signature menu items include mussel’s, Pete’s Crustaceans, Lisa’s Blonde Lobster Pie, and, of course, crab fries.

Champps closed in August, and speculation began immediately that Chickie’s and Pete’s might be moving in.
It was open for 21 years, but ultimately closed due to bankruptcy-related moves by its parent company, according to philly.com.
