Cinnaminson Basketball Teams Net Big Wins; Wrestling Downs Delran: Sports Roundup

The Cinnaminson High School basketball teams picked up a couple of big wins Tuesday night, and Pirates programs have picked up a pair of wins over rival Delran in the last week.

Will Cabbler scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Cinnaminson High School boys basketball team to a 62-46 win over rival Delran on Tuesday, according to nj.com. Devon Taylor had 19 points in the win.

Cinnaminson jumped out to a 16-10 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.

The win came five days after a 65-39 win over Holy Cross, according to nj.com. Cabbler had 21 points in that one, and Conor Bresnahan had 16 points in that one.

Cinnaminson is 10-2 on the year.

The Cinnaminson High School girls basketball team edged Cumberland Regional, 50-48, on Tuesday night. Fiona Flynn led the way with 17 points, followed by Marisa DiLeo with 14. The Pirates had the lead at halftime, but the Colts rallied to tie the game at 32-32 after three quarters. Cinnaminson outscored Cumberland, 18-16, in the final frame.

The Pirates were involved in another close game five days earlier, when they defeated Holy Cross, 43-39, according to nj.com. DiLeo had a game-high 20 points in the win, and Tori Robinson dropped 10 in the victory.

Cinnaminson is 9-2.

The Cinnaminson High School wrestling team had four pins, two major decisions and a technical fall to defeat rival Delran, 37-33, on Jan. 20, according to nj.com.

TJ Emanuel pinned Dakota Hunter at 106 pounds; Isaiah Ellis pinned Eric Gardner at 113; Ryan Teague pinned Mark Olivo at 138; and Shaun Davilla pinned Zach Bohn at 182.

Heavyweight Keith Swartley scored the technical fall, defeating Ethan Hill, 16-1.

Jarrod Averill scored a major decision victory over Louie Rossner, 11-2, at 126, and Joe Saxton had a major decision win over Chris Pfeffer, 14-5, at 145.

Cinnaminson improved to 8-1 on the season.
