Cinnaminson Basketball Teams Open Playoffs With Doubleheader

CINNAMINSON, NJ — The Cinnaminson High School boys and girls basketball teams will open their respective playoff pushes with a doubleheader on Tuesday, Feb. 27.

The girls — the No. 2 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 girls tournament, according to nj.com — are up first. They host No. 15 district rival Delran in the first round at 4 p.m. The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 7 Barnegat and No. 10 Willingboro in the quarterfinals on March 1. The semifinals are set for March 3, with the championship game the following week.

Cinnaminson is 13-5, and owns two victories over Delran (3-14) already this season. Manchester Township is the No. 1 overall seed.

The top-seeded Cinnaminson boys take the court at 6 p.m. and will host No. 16 Collingswood in the first round of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 boys tournament, according to nj.com. The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 8 Middle Township and No. 9 Barnegat in the quarterfinals on March 1. The semifinals are set for March 3, with the championship game the following week.

Cinnaminson is 14-6 this season as of Feb. 9.
