Cinnaminson Basketball Teams Open Playoffs With Home Doubleheader Monday

The girls host Oakcrest, and the boys host Lower Cape May.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Both the Cinnaminson High School boys and girls basketball teams begin their playoff quests at home next week, according to brackets posted on nj.com.

The girls, the No. 7 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 tournament, open next Monday night’s doubleheader with a matchup against No. 10 Oakcrest at 5 p.m.

The boys, the No. 5 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 tournament, host No. 12 Lower Cape May in the second game at 7 p.m. on Feb. 27.

The girls are 18-7 this season and competed in this year’s South Jersey Invitational Basketball tournament. Their final regular season game is Thursday night at home against Haddon Township, 5 p.m.

Oakcrest is 9-12 as of Wednesday afternoon.

The winner faces the winner of the game between No. 2 Haddonfield and No. 15 Medford Tech in the quarterfinals on March 1. The semifinals are set for March 3, and the championship game is scheduled for March 6. The No. 1 overall seed in the tournament is Middle Township.

The boys are 9-16 with one regular season game left, at Rancocas Valley Friday night. Lower Cape May is 15-7.

The winner faces the winner of the game between No. 4 Barnegat and No. 13 Cape May Tech in the quarterfinals on March 1. The semifinals are March 3, and the championship game is set for March 7. Camden is the No. 1 overall seed.
