Cinnaminson Board Of Education Looking To Fill Vacancy
A special meeting to fill the seat will take place on Tuesday, May 29.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — The Cinnaminson Public School District’s Board of Education is seeking to fill its current vacancy. Anyone hoping to fill the vacancy must submit an application by Friday, May 18.
Applications can be sent to Mrs. Donna Gidjunis, Interim School Business Administrator/Board Secretary, c/o Cinnaminson Board of Education, 2195 Riverton Road, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077.
- He/She is a citizen of the United States of America.
- He/She must be at least 18 (eighteen) years of age to qualify for office.
- He/She must be able to read and write.
- He/She has been a resident of the municipality from which he/she is to be elected for at least one year preceding the date of election.
- He/She is not disqualified as a voter pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:4-1.
- He/She is not disqualified from membership for the conviction of crimes pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:12-1. (Within 30 days of election or appointment to the board, a member must undergo a criminal history background investigation through the New Jersey Department of Education).
- He/She is a registered voter in the district.

The Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, May 29, 7:30 p.m. to conduct interviews for the vacancy. The meeting will be held in Room 120 at Cinnaminson Middle School, 312 North Forklanding Road. The new board member will serve through the end of the year.
The seat became available when Board President Jean Cohen resigned effective immediately on May 8, the Cinnaminson Sun reports. She is moving out of district before the board meets in June, and all board members must live in the district. A special election will be held in November to fill the rest of the term, which runs through the end of 2019.
