Cinnaminson Bridge Reopens After Weeks Of Repairs
Officials closed the Forklanding Road Bridge in late June for scheduled repairs.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — The Forklanding Road Bridge reopened Wednesday following weeks of scheduled repairs. The structure, which crosses Pennsauken Creek, had been closed since late June.
Workers from the Burlington County Division of Roads and Bridges repaired the steel truss span’s asphalt deck, beams and metal sheeting, according to county officials. The one-lane bridge was built in 1906 and retrofitted in the 1950s and then again in 1988.
Commissioner Deputy Director Tom Pullion praised the workers and the Division of Roads and Bridges for making the repairs in a "timely" manner that reduced disruption to traffic.

"Burlington County is committed to the safe and efficient maintenance of our county roads, bridges and infrastructure," Pullion said in a statement, "and this project is a perfect example of how we're using our county resources to make the repairs needed to keep infrastructure safe and operational."
During repairs, traffic was detoured to Lenola Road, Route 73 and Route 130.

The Burlington County government originally planned to begin the work in early June. But the county postponed the project to complete emergency repairs on another one of its structures — the Main Street Bridge between Moorestown and Maple Shade.
County engineers had ordered the Main Street Bridge's temporary closure on March 30 after deeming it structurally unsafe. The bridge reopened June 15 after testing confirmed the repairs brought enough strength to the structure to safely allow motor-vehicle traffic.
