Cinnaminson has extended the grace period for property taxes that are due Friday, officials announced.
CINNAMINSON, NJ — Cinnaminson has extended the grace period for property taxes that are due Friday, officials announced.
On Tuesday, Gov. Phil Murphy announced that municipalities would be permitted to extend the grace period for property tax payments due on May 1 to June 1. Taxes are still due May 1, but the grace period in which residents can pay their taxes without accruing interest or fees is extended from May 11 to June 1.
Such an extension would provide "much-needed relief to homeowners struggling financially as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic," he said. Read more here: Gov. Murphy: NJ Property Tax 'Grace Period' In Coronavirus Crisis
