Cinnaminson Field Hockey Team to Face No. 1 Haddonfield in Playoffs
The Pirates advanced to the semifinals after defeating Gloucester City on penalty strokes.

The Cinnaminson High School field hockey team has a tall task when it faces No. 1 Haddonfield in the semifinal round of the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group I tournament on Tuesday.
The game takes place at Haddonfield High School at 3:30 p.m.
The Pirates have already survived one test when the fourth-seeded Pirates defeated No. 5 Gloucester City on penalty strokes in the quarterfinals, according to nj.com.

Marissa Porrini and Nicole Teague each converted penalty strokes to give the Pirates the win after the teams went through regulation and two overtimes tied at 1-1.
Rebecca Shin scored for Cinnaminson in the first half of regulation. Kylar Coughlin tied the game for Gloucester City in the second half.

Cinnaminson goalie Lauren Friedrich made eight saves. Gloucester goalie Sara Deetz stopped five shots.
Cinnaminson improved to 11-4-2.
No. 1 Haddonfield (18-1-1) had little problem with No. 8 Paulsboro in the quarterfinals, picking up an 8-1 win, according to nj.com.
Caroline Bickel, Emma Feldhake and Sophie Popp each scored twice for Haddonfield. Goalie Megan Maynes made six saves.
