Cinnaminson Firefighter's Wife Battles Cancer: How To Help

Here's how you can assist a Cinnaminson firefighter's family as his wife prepares for surgery.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Todd Hardie has been a Cinnaminson volunteer firefighter for two decades. A few months ago, the battalion chief and his family entered a new battle.

Todd's wife, Karen, was diagnosed in December with Stage 4 metastatic neuroendocrine cancer. Next month, she'll undergo surgery to remove most of the cancer in her small bowel and liver.

After surgery, Karen will stay at the hospital for five days and then recover at home for six weeks. A GoFundMe supporting the Hardie family has shattered its fundraising goal. Now, people can donate meals to assist the couple and their two children.
