Cinnaminson Football Team Prepares For 2018 Season
The Pirates quarterback has increased confidence entering his junior year, the Courier Post reports.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — What a difference a year makes. Cinnaminson High School junior Shawn Ruffin enters his second year as quarterback for the football team, and he brings more confidence into the 2018 season than he did for his sophomore campaign.
Offensive coordinator Dan Rella tells the Courier Post Ruffin has told his teammates and coaches he wants them to be harder on him this year than last, when a strong running game and a good defense helped carry the Pirates to the sectional semifinals.
“Now he said that last year and didn’t mean it, he wasn’t old enough and mature enough to be honest, he would go down and kind of be in the dumps, and this year has been a bit different,” Rella told the newspaper. “He can take us getting on him and coaching him, which is good.”
