Cinnaminson Football Team Wins With Big Second Half

A big second half propelled the Cinnaminson High School football team to a big win over its Thanksgiving Day rival.

The Pirates scored 29 points in the second half en route to a 35-0 win over Delran, according to nj.com.

Nick Thevanayagam ran for two touchdowns and threw a third, and Aaron Elly scored two on the ground to help Cinnaminson wrap up a 9-2 season.

Thevanayagam’s 18-yard touchdown run came in the first quarter and gave Cinnaminson a 6-0 halftime lead.

In the third quarter, Thevanayagam an 11-yard touchdown run and a 4-yard touchdown pass to Pete Selnek.

In the fourth, Elly covered 74 yards in one touchdown run and capped the scoring with a touchdown from 4 yards out.

The teams have met just eight times, with the Pirates holding a 5-3 lead, according to nj.com.
