Cinnaminson High School Baseball Team off to 2-1 Start in 2015

The Pirates opened with a one-run win over Northern Burlington, and scored 23 runs in a win over Haddon Township.

The Cinnaminson High School baseball team is off to a 2-1 start in 2015, included a one-run win on opening day and a win in which it scored 23 runs over the weekend.

The Pirates opened the season with a 7-6 win over Northern Burlington on April 2, according to nj.com. Nick Mahoney belted a two-run homer, and Jimmy Dever was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles in the win. Dominic Cicale picked up the win on the mound.

On Saturday, Cinnaminson downed Haddon Township, 23-13, including a 9-1 lead after the first inning, according to nj.com. Dever was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI in the win. Christian Massara was 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI. Adam Bernato picked up the win, striking out two batters, allowing five hits and six runs.

Cinnaminson’s lone loss was a 10-5 defeat at the hands of St. Joseph (Hammonton), according to nj.com. Berenato was 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI. Cicale had an RBI double in the loss.
