Cinnaminson High School Baseball Team Advances to Playoff Semifinals

Cinnaminson downed Delran, 5-4, to advance.

The Cinnaminson High School baseball team rallied in the fourth inning to defeat a familiar foe and advance in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group II playoffs.

The top-seeded Pirates scored four times in the fourth inning to defeat No. 8 Delran, 5-4, to advance to the semifinals, according to nj.com.

Cinnaminson will host No. 5 Robbinsville in the semifinals on May 26.

Brandon Staub pitched a complete game to pick up the win. He struck out three batters to pick up the win.

Nick Thevanayagam was 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored. Jimmy Cicale was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Adam Berenato had an RBI double.

It was Cinnaminson’s third win over Delran this season. The Pirates defeated Delran 7-0 on May 7 and 7-5 on May 14.
