Cinnaminson High School Boys Basketball Team Suffers First Setbacks; Girls Basketball, Wrestling Continue to Win

Both basketball teams are 7-2, and the wrestling team is 7-1.

The Cinnaminson High School boys basketball team has lost two in a row after winning its first seven games of the season, according to nj.com.

The Pirates’ first loss came at the hands of Bordentown, 69-52, despite a 19-point performance from Conor Bresnahan. Devon Taylor also had 16 points. Myron Gordon had a game-high 21 points for Bordentown.

The following night, Cinnaminson fell to Northern Burlington, 74-52. Rich Rickus led Cinnaminson with 14 points, followed by J.P. Rickus with 12. Pat McCarthy and Devon Taylor each had 10.

Both losses came on the road.

Marisa DiLeo knocked down a game-high 25 points in a 58-41 win over Burlington City. Anne O’Malley had 10 points in the win.

Fiona Flynn’s 20 points helped the Pirates pull out a 41-38 win over Bordentown. Cinnaminson trailed 31-25 after three quarters, but outscored Bordentown, 16-7, in the final quarter for the victory.

The Cinnaminson High School wrestling team picked up three wins to improve to 7-1 last week, nj.com reports.

Victories included a 43-18 win over Pemberton; a 45-19 triumph over Hammonton; and a 66-9 victory over Lower Cape May.
