Cinnaminson High School Boys Soccer Team to Face Rival for SJ Title

Cinnaminson hosts Delran in the championship game on Friday.

Following two consecutive upsets, seventh-seeded Cinnaminson will face rival and eighth-seeded Delran for the championship on Friday, Nov. 13, according to nj.com.

Following an upset of second-seeded Middle Township, the Pirates upset No. 6 Manasquan, 2-0, in the semifinals, according to nj.com.

Both of the Pirates’ goals came in the second half. Sean Bockius and Mason Stepnowski scored the goals, and Ryan Mahaffy and Pat McCarthy provided the assists.

Goalie Mike Deal had six saves in the shutout.

After two consecutive road games, Cinnaminson will host the championship game on Friday. Delran upset top-seeded Haddonfield and No. 5 Sterling to advance to the final.

The rivals have split their two encounters this year.
