Cinnaminson High School Football Team Knocked Out Of Playoffs

The Pirates came up short in their attempt at a second-straight late playoff win.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — The Cinnaminson High School football team was looking for a second straight late victory in this year’s playoffs, and it almost happened.

Trailing by a touchdown in the fourth quarter, Greg Willis ripped off a 72-yard touchdown run to tie the game for the Pirates. Unfortunately for Cinnaminson, Canyon Birch scored the game-winning touchdown on a 1-yard run later in the same quarter.

As a result, No. 2 Manasquan outlasted No. 3 Cinnaminson in the semifinals of the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 2 playoffs, according to nj.com. Manasquan will face top-seeded Hillside in the final.
