Cinnaminson High School Freshman Wins Sectional Girls Pole Vault Title

Cinnaminson, NJ -- She got her career off on the right foot.

Cinnaminson High School freshman Taylor Clark captured the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 pole vault title at the sectional meet over the weekend, according to nj.com.

She won the event with a vault of 10 feet, 1 inch.

She is among 10 Pirates who move on to the state championship meet, set for this weekend at Northern Burlington.

The top six finishers in each event in the sectional round advanced to the state championships.

Sophomore Haley Adams and junior Prisca Blamon each qualified for states in two events.

Adams was fourth in the 3200 run with a time of 11 minutes, 56.63 seconds.

She also teamed with junior Andrea Benites, sophomore Christi Harrell and senior Olivia Rocks to finish fourth in the 4x400 relay (4:07.95).

Blamon was second in the shot put with a throw of 36-03; and fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 34-11.

The 4x100 relay team of Vanessa Finnan, Alexandra Keck, Maleia Robinson-myers and Miranda Sackner, all juniors, finished sixth with a time of 52.01.

As a team, Cinnaminson finished fifth with 33 points. Sterling won the team title with 141 points.
