Cinnaminson High School Maintains High Graduation Rate

The school has graduated over 90 percent of its students for at least the last four years, according to NJDOE.

The graduation rate at Cinnaminson High School was nearly identical from 2013 to 2014, and has remained above 90 percent for at least the last four years, according to statistics released by the New Jersey Department of Education on Wednesday.

New Jersey uses a federally mandated methodology designed to provide a complete accounting of graduation rates by tracking cohorts of students over four years, starting from the time they enter the ninth grade.

Cinnaminson’s overall graduation rate was 97.73 percent in 2014, following a rate of 97.98 percent in 2013.

A total of 172 of the school’s 176 students graduated in 2014.

The rate has been climbing since 2011, when it was 92.23 percent. In 2012, it was 96.68 percent.The NJDOE only provided numbers going back the previous four years.

Cinnaminson remains above the state average, which checked in at 88.6 percent in 2014, up from 87.5 percent in 2013. It was the second consecutive year in which high school graduation statewide grew by a full percentage point.

Below is a further look at how the district compares with the rest of the state in a few areas:

· 93.5% of white students graduated in 2014, an increase from 93.1% in 2013. In Cinnaminson, 143 of the 176 students are white, with a graduation rate of 99.30 percent in this sub-group.

· 76.6% of students with disabilities graduated in 2014, an increase from 75.9% in 2013. In Cinnaminson, 95 percent of students with disabilities graduated.
