CINNAMINSON, NJ — Here’s a look at some upcoming events at the Cinnaminson Library for the week of Aug. 12-16. Each event’s description comes from the library’s website. Click the name of each event for more information.

Monday, Aug. 12
Make and Take Mondays! : Kids ages 4 to 12 are invited to pop into the library at any time on Mondays to create a craft that is out of this world based on our summer theme A Universe of Stories! This week’s subject is Galaxy Mobile- create a hanging mobile with the sun and all of our planets. Sorry, Pluto.

Little Builders, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Come and build at the library! We have several fun STEM kits like Marble Run, Duplos, and more! Registration is not required!

Expert Traveler Series: Ocean Cruising, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: Whether you are planning your dream vacation, longing to check items off your bucket list or are a seasoned traveler, this series is for you! Dream Vacations professional travel agents will cover ever-changing luggage and safety regulations, health risks, regional overviews, currency exchange, communication in foreign lands and more! This portion of the series will cover "Ocean Cruising." Attendees will receive an overview of the major cruise lines, the differences between each, what is or is not included, and how to help both seasoned and first-time cruisers make the best choices for this vacation style. This presentation will provide important information on health and safety matters, TSA security requirements, government requirements for passports, visas and accepted forms of I.D. and more.

Tuesday, Aug. 13
Tai Chi, 10:30 a.m. to noon: This is a beginner’s course in Qigong and Tai Chi, slow, gentle forms of exercise that help increase energy, flexibility, balance and body awareness. Those who suffer from bad posture, stiff joints, tension and instability should find the course especially helpful. No special equipment or attire required other than loose-fitting clothing and soft, flat-bottom shoes. This program is for adults only.

Summer Cook Camp- Dessert Edition, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.: This summer, join us each month to learn simple, no-oven-needed recipes you can make at home. Kids ages 11 to 18 are invited to make ultimate ice cream sandwiches with cookie crusts. Nutritional information will be made available, please inform instructor of any food allergies prior to class. Ages 11-18.

Blast Off to Reading with TWO OF A KIND!, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: Join TWO OF A KIND for an interactive musical performance, Blast Off to Reading, featuring songs about space, reading and books! The program will get everyone involved through singing, movement, lyrics-on-the-spot, sign language and visual aspects such as puppets. For all ages! Registration is not required.

Wednesday, Aug. 14
Out of This World Storytime, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: 5-4-3-2-1 Blast off! Kids ages 6 and under are invited to join us for stories, songs, and movement that is "out of this world". Registration is not required, and we will be making a simple craft to take home.

Scrabble Club, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Do you love a good game of Scrabble? Look no further. You have found kindred spirits with the new Scrabble Club forming at the Cinnaminson Library. Players of all levels and all ages are welcome to drop in, and we hope, stick around. It's stimulating, educational and most of all, lots of fun!

Laughter Yoga, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Laughter Yoga is a whole body, well-being workout that uses intentional laughter, breathing, mindfulness, and gentle movement to promote a healthy, joyful and vibrant life. It's uplifting, energizing and fun! There are no yoga poses involved. The yoga aspect is the deep breathing and mindfulness that we include. The program is wonderful for friendly connection, stress relief and can also help ease anxiety & mild depression, while also being a form of exercise. We do not use jokes or comedy and you do not need to be flexible or funny. You can even participate in a chair. Please bring water and a willingness to be playful and have fun! Thursday, Aug. 15
Abrakadoodle, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Kids ages 7 - 12 will explore and learn while using their imaginations to create their own framed masterpiece. **Ages 7 - 12 years** (the minimum age is 7 years old, please no exceptions) Registration is required! Please register each child individually.

Friday, Aug 16
End of Summer Reading Party, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.: You did it! Join us for an out-of-this-world summer reading party! We will have Kim Yarson here to entertain us, so be prepared to dance! Pick up your reading cerificate and, if we meet our goal of 50,000 books read....some lucky kids will get to hit Miss Kristie in the face with a pie!

Anime Club, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Love anime, manga and graphic novels? We do too! Teens ages 13 - 18 are invited to our monthly Anime Club. Join us in watching and discussing the latest anime, and working on other projects.

The Mug Life Book Club, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.:
Teens and Young Adults are invited to meet up with library staff at the new Starbucks in Cinnaminson for a new book club, The Mug Life. No purchase is necessary. Bring your friends and ideas of where you would like to see this book club go in the future. Best for ages 13 and up. August's picks are Giant Days Volume One by John Allison and On A Sunbeam by Tillie Walden.
