Samaritan’s gala, Be A Samaritan: Celebration of Life, raised more than $142,000 in charitable support for the not-for-profit.
“We are incredibly grateful for the leadership of Gala Committee Chair Lindsey Watson McCarthy and all members of our volunteer Gala committee, in addition to the sponsors, advertisers, auction donors and attendees who supported our first ever virtual Gala and made the event such a success,” Samaritan President and CEO Mary Ann Boccolini said. “Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Samaritan has continued to provide professional care, services, and support to those in need, without disruption. The funds raised from this year’s event enables us to continue to provide the highest quality care to patients and their families in order to enhance their quality of life.”
This year’s gala focused on the efforts of their team members as it relates to the coronavirus pandemic. During the 2021 virtual Gala, Samaritan named all members of the Samaritan staff as their 2021 Circle of Excellence award recipients. Each year, the Circle of Excellence award honors individuals who are passionate and dedicated in their service to both Samaritan and the greater community.
“Our staff are the heart of our organization and truly make Samaritan what it is today,” Boccolini said. “There are no other individuals more worthy of this award than our team of professionals. They are our own healthcare heroes, continuing to provide compassionate care to all of our patients and their families during these difficult times.”
