Kathy Fitzpatrick joins other New Jersey mayors for a hard hat walk-through today.

Mayor Kathy Fitzpatrick joins 11 other New Jersey mayors today on a hard hat walk-through tour of the World Trade Center site, as part of a special invitation from Gov. Chris Christie's office.

Fitzpatrick said she's "humbled" to be invited. She received a call just a week ago with the invitation.

Calls were not immediately returned Friday by the governor's office on details of the walk-through. The governor is not scheduled to be present during the walk-through.

"9/11 is a day that changed the face of our country forever. It is a day where more than 3,000 lives were lost, ordinary people became heroes and Americans banded together," Fitzpatrick said. "I'm just so humbled."
