Cinnaminson Middle School Drama Club Presents Shrek The Musical in February

Everyone’s favorite ogre comes to life when the Cinnaminson Middle School Drama Club presents “Shrek The Musical.”

Performances take place on Feb. 20, at 8 p.m.; Feb. 21 at 8 p.m.; Feb. 22, at 2 p.m.; Feb. 27, at 8 p.m., and Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the at the Cinnaminson Middle School Auditorium, 312 N. Forklanding Road in Cinnaminson.

Tickets are $5 for students, $8 for adults and free for senior citizens. Tickets are available at the door.

The twisted fairy tale follows the story of the movie and features 19 all-new songs, big laughs, and great dancing.

The Drama Club, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, has a special offer for their matinee on Sunday, Feb. 22. In lieu of buying a ticket, guests may bring in non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Bread of Life Food Pantry in Palmyra.

The pantry is in particular need of items such as cereal, hot chocolate, tea, tuna, fruit juice, etc. Since the school is a part of the community, the school feels it is crucial to teach these students about the importance of giving back, and the joy of live theatre.

The show is double-cast and includes 50+ students between the two casts and crew.
