Cinnaminson Police Increase Focus On School Bus Stops
Law enforcement will enhance enforcement at stops for the rest of the school year to prevent drivers from passing stopped school buses.
CINNAMINSON, NJ — The Cinnaminson Police Department will place extra focus on school bus stops for the rest of the school year, officials announced Tuesday.
"We will have officers out in force on multiple days and at numerous bus stops in marked and unmarked vehicles making sure our children are safe," Police Chief Richard Calabrese said in a statement.
The goal of the enhanced-enforcement initiative is to educate the public about the dangers of passing a stopped school bus and to get children to school safely, Calabrese said.
